The Nordic Star festival gave possibility to attend at investment masterclasses, wine tasting – masterclass, charity poker tournament, exclusive Ginta Siceva exhibition, Art Deko closing ball, where the musical performance of Daumants Kalnins and Aija Vitolina was stellar! From the very first notes of Let the Good Times Roll up until the last song guests could not help but sway in the rhythm of the melody, and many filled the dance floor throughout the evening.

If Hugues (Hugues Lepin, Director of Private Client sales at Wine Source Group) had us charmed in the morning during the wealth management master class, in the evening’s wine tasting he swept us off our feet. Too often wine tastings are lacking in personality, and the sommelier emphasizes the wine characteristics that one should be noticing in the wine. Hugues, on the other hand, inspired us to feel the wine rather than analyze it, and follow our individual perception of it that shapes our taste. He made us realize that fine wine should not be saved for a special moment – it is the opening of a certain wine that makes the given moment special.
